There was an apparently unused condom lying on the welcome mat outside our apartment door this evening.

bedfull_o_books says it probably means nothing unless it happens again.

(It's also possible it fell there. We are sort of on the way to the laundry room. But it does seem odd.)

Actually, not even rolled up. It appeared to be an unused, but entirely unfurled, unlubricated condom. I saw no residue inside or outside the condom.
