This can't really be a surprise to anyone.

I guess it's because being a hipster is a full-time job in itself, so how can they be expected to devote their full attention to any other job?

digitalemur has now been dissed by hipster waitstaff in two different countries. She is justifiably cranky about this. I have so far lucked out as I have only found them offhand and inattentive, while she has actually had difficulty being served.

At least the food was good after we finally got it.

They're too busy remembering how they liked the food you ordered before it got all popular. Also, they'd tell you the specials but you'd never have heard of them.
