This subject got covered in a few of the evolutionary bio classes I took in undergrad. They're right though about the male bias. During Human Functional Anatomy we had at least one full lecture on the embryonic development of the penis. We didn't cover the vagina in the same depth--the professor just said that it was "too complicated to cover." I was mad at the time, but I had totally forgotten about it until reading this article. Thanks for sharing!
