Man, I should have thought of this before.

My sleep schedule has been all fucked up lately. But last night, I had a cough--a small piece of the cold [livejournal.com profile] bedfull_o_books is recovering from--and decided to break out the codeine.

Pow, out like a light.

And up this morning at a reasonable time, without any alarm. Then, a can of Taiwanese coffee later, I'm perky and alert!

Wheee! :)

(I think if I used codeine and caffeine more I wouldn't get anything *like* this effect, but as I don't...wow.)

Heh :) Gotta love that codeine!

Codeine does that for me too. It's not that much of a painkiller, but damn does it make a good sleeping pill!

Anonymous was me, darn machine logged me out.

Yeah, I *hate* that.

I tried a similar approach today, except without the caffeine. Not so good.

The soda machine at work, from which I'd been expecting to purchase my stimulant, was broken. I finally got a can of soda at 1:30, but I think it'll be too late to make for a productive day. So sleeeepy.

A can personally attest to the fact that taking the codeine during the day and attempting to program while on it DOES NOT WORK. Well... it makes you stop coughing.. but it doesn't make for very functional code.

Man, I wouldn't generate any code if I took codeine.

Except maybe ZZZZZZZZZZZ. :)
