Ponzi crawl.

From the Urban Dictionary:
A pub crawl that adds a new person to buy a round at each location. Each new person is promised that they will get free drinks at all the future bars if they buy this round. Obviously, whoever joins the ponzi crawl last gets screwed!

Let's get some suckers to buy us beer on a ponzi crawl this weekend.

That's great, but isn't that more of a pyramid crawl?

That is a *fantastic* way to describe a Ponzi scheme to the less financially inclined!

Unlike a pyramid scheme it breaks down pretty quickly -- who would join a crawl that already had 20 people in it?

Then again, if people start dropping out and staggering home, the numbers could go down again. In fact, the entire membership could be replaced, especially if the crawl starts early in the afternoon...

My thought was: who would make it to the twentieth drink at the twentieth pub? (Clearly, I'm a lightweight. :) )

In fact, the entire membership could be replaced, especially if the crawl starts early in the afternoon...

I suspect real pub crawlers might try starting one of these before lunch.
