Real snow's hit the UK...
Feb. 2nd, 2009 09:34 am...and the rest of Western Europe, for that matter.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/forecast/10209 has a current (11:25 GMT on Monday 2nd February) map:

Forecast maps for the next couple of days: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/7864553.stm (moved to http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/7865477.stm)
Oh well, we're getting ours tomorrow: http://www.necn.com/weather
Good luck everybody who's getting snow, and best to everyone who's still digging out from last week's ice storm: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123327384743031131.html?mod=googlenews_wsj
Edit: And Punxsutawney Phil and Wiarton Willie both saw their shadows this morning, so according to the groundhog climatologists, we're in for another six weeks of winter.

Then again, according to the CBC: "How groundhogs got a reputation for predicting weather patterns is a mystery, because they are not the least bit interested in their shadows or the number of winter weeks remaining. The only reasons they come out of hibernation are for food and sex."
Sounds pretty smart to me.
