The idea is that you are doing the same thing over and over with no progress. That is insanity.
The assumption is that with practice you have movement.

Training is not expecting a completely different result each time, rather each time moves one closer to a particular goal.
Now if your first few attempts in training are not even in the same league as the goal, then maybe it's crazy to keep trying :)

I never thought that that saying about insanity made much sense.
