Wireless mouse without a charging station == bad idea. Apple never seems to have gotten this.

I'd say go with rechargables an remember to shut if off when not in use- otherwise may have a tech take a peek at it... maybe a lemon?

Ours uses the batteries up quite quickly too. Rechargeable batteries are definitely the best option - though that likely doesn't help you right now if you are battery free.
