It looks like this:

It is the US version. This phonograph/radio receives two shortwave bands as well as AM and FM.

I picked it up at fuzcat's housecooling as I could not stand to see it get dumped, particular as she tells me the last time she fired it up it still worked. The dials and buttons work pretty smoothly. The schematic is included.

It is currently in my car and looking for a good home. Ideally it will go to someone who actually collects these things.

A quick look around the net shows that this phonograph/radio has recently been listed for $129.99 on eBay and $60 on Craigslist.

I can deliver it but if you want me to drive it much out of Eastern MA I'd appreciate your chipping in for gas.

Very nice. :) I miss my parents' Grundig system, which was one of those very wide console-style systems with storage for records made out of gorgeous wood with a big weighted dial. If they still had it, I'd totally be calling dibs on it when we buy a house. (I've never had a place big enough to store it.) sadly, they had to get rid of it when they moved to Malaysia for a while and then came back.

Showed the picture to my boss and he is interested. Yay.

Now to work out the logistics....

Actually, he has some pretty specific requirements for old electronics equipment. I'll let him speak for himself on this one, but in the past he's not been interested in random old radios.
