My absentee ballot arrived Wednesday.
Oct. 5th, 2012 07:54 pmMy town offers what amounts to an annual subscription service for absentee ballots. You fill out a form and you are sent ballots for each election that year. If you aren't registered as a member of a particular political party, you are sent a card before each primary which gives you a choice of party primary ballot. Return this, and they send you the appropriate primary ballot. For all I know this is a state-wide service.
It's very convenient and helpful. For one thing it makes it possible to do a bit of research about candidates and ballot questions ballot in hand, weeks before the election.
