Feb. 26th, 2016 06:32 pmMy Acer C720 Chromebook's screen finally died. The backlighting has been wonky for some weeks now, and yesterday morning it finally gave up the ghost.
Because the backlight is integral to the screen on this model, fixing it requires replacing the screen. This may cost more than the purchase price of a new machine. We'll see.
In the meantime I'm looking around for an HDMI monitor cable so I can plug the Chromebook into an old monitor I have hanging around.
Online communication to and from me will be spotty until I get this problem dealt with. Text me or call if you want to get in touch.
