Aging may mean being too tired to do certain things; wisdom is realizing that before I wear myself out completely. In my case, the actual issue is realizing how much energy I'm likely to have in time to skip the moderately interesting thing in favor of the one that really matters to me, but is scheduled the following day. (That's taken some time, and I'm still working on it.)
