We appear to have a mouse sheltering from the cold in our kitchen.

Last night, I went to put something away in the fridge. When I turned on the kitchen light, I saw a mouse-sized blur run across the floor by the cat's food bowl and under the fridge.

My immediate reaction was irritation at Ember the Wonder Cat. This is unfair, as she is well beyond retirement age.

Nonetheless, I wish she would spend a bit more time defending her own food, if nothing else.
