It will still be necessary to shut the Metro lines down for six nights during the year to carry out essential maintenance work.
That's fair. I think being open 359 days out of 365 (or 366 in a leap year) is probably close enough to year-round to count.
For comparison, I wonder how many days a year New York's lines close for maintenance on average.
