Speaking of Tokyo...
Mar. 26th, 2004 07:10 pm...anyone have any recommendations for a pleasant, (relatively) cheap place to stay in Tokyo. Cheap meaning less than 10,000 yen per night, please.
Okay, stop laughing.
I want to try a capsule hotel sometime but I don't know that this visit is the right time, because I get in at 7AM and I leave two days later at 11AM. So, maybe I should have somewhere to base out of and put my bags.
Also, I just saw Lost in Translation on the flight from Sydney. It really just made me miss Tokyo at just the right time (four days before arriving there). Somewhat ironic, since the characters are having such a terrible time there.
At one point I remember thinking, "Gee, must be nice to have enough money to stay at the Park Hyatt Tokyo."

SUPER HAPPY FUN-TIME VACTION FANTASTICO!
Date: 2004-03-26 07:31 am (UTC)Anyway, the point of this is that if you were to stay in a capsule hotel (and I dearly hope you do) I'd like to request a thorough as possible write-up of the experience, as I'd like to be as well prepared for the Super Happy Fun-Time Vacation Fantastico as can be reasonably expected.
Cheers,
Colby
