Well--unless you're made of really tough material, I'd recommend at least leaving the option of the easy way open, and seeing how resourceful you feel once you are there. Traveling in India is challenging in so many different ways that altogether it can be quite exhausting, especially for a lone woman with no Hindi (not sure if this describes you). My inclination is to save one's energy for the most important parts.
If you want, I can try to get my mother to find out information--she's mainly part of a Calcutta crowd, but some of them must be familiar with Bangladesh.
