What I failed to convey in my rather dry recitation of events was how just about everything I planned to do that day dropped into place. The only thing that didn't get fit in was getting to Yale Station before 2000 to check my mailbox, and that was a Very Small Thing that ended up getting done the next day anyhow.
And the night ended nicely with its share of serendipity, too.
