Aieee! Tartuf is gone! Both locations, even!

[livejournal.com profile] bookly, did you know?

Mind you, from http://forums.egullet.com/lofiversion/index.php/t27024.html it appears that it's been gone for a year and a half, but still, so sad. :(

Now I will have to find tarte flambée/Flammeküeche somewhere else.

They have it at Sandrines in Harvard Square.

Thanks for the pointer!

Apparently Brasserie JO on Huntington Ave. in Boston does them also.

But alas, neither will replace Tartuf, which also offered an "all you can eat" option.

Sure. We enjoyed Tartuf on many occasions.

And Brasserie JO is about the only Boston restaurant I can think of that's more expensive than Sandrine's.

OK, I exaggerate. But neither is an everyday restaurant. That said, do go down to Dunster Street on Bastille Day; there is often a street fair and if there is, cheap flammekuche can be had.

Exactly.

Have to keep that in mind. Thanks!

That's too bad -- I've been there twice and enjoyed it both times. The all-you-can-eat was especially wonderful for Calle, who can eat quite a lot. Plus, it was delicious.

/me cries more

Ah, well. Easy come, easy go. At least I'm not living there at the moment; that would make me REALLY sad. :(

/me cries with you

If we were living there we'd have eaten there more often. :)
