LJ Book (Turn your blog into a PDF Book)

http://www.ljbook.com/ says:

What is this ?
A LJ Book is a book with all your entries extracted from your LiveJournal, DeadJournal or AboutMyLife.

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] cmat for the pointer.

That's actually a handy way of archiving a journal.

Yah, they mention that. I wonder if it grabs all the comments, too.

I believe that it does, yes. I actually posted about it a year or more ago, but no one commented. I've a friend who has done hers with LJBook, and really seemed to like it, and have been meaning to go back and do things like put book titles the way they're supposed to be. (Italics?)

I remember a year or so ago when this first got implemented, oh the outrage! How Dare they ask for passwords! Until people pointed out a)you don't have to use them and b)you can change your passwords. Then the whining was 'oh but how to we know they won't use it to their own ends??' to which most replied with 'don't trust them? don't use their service.' it was funny to watch people get up in arms about something that seems mostly harmless.

They do have a small typo on their page (can't spell The Guardian, even though they link directly to their site). Mind you, I don't think spelling should limit a person, if you can't spell something at least three different ways, you are simply not creative enough.

Anyway, it looks like a terrific solution to a question I was asking myself not too long ago about how to search back in my LJ for various stories and such. PDFs are completely searchable in ways LJ isn't. Nice. Very nice! Thank you for sharing!
