Have a great holiday everyone!

And go get yourself some moon cake (月饼)!

([livejournal.com profile] bloodstones, you had one of those from the vendor under the bridge when we went to Manhattan Chinatown.)

This made me miss Thailand. I knew about all the Chinese festivals when I was there.

I know, and I really like them. I think I got them from the asian supermarket we went to in New Jersey when you helped me move to. As I recall I ate it in the car on the way back to my grandmother's because I was having such cravings for them. I want one now too.

I presume you've found a way to enter Chinese characters... :)

Le sigh. Last year, I was spending the mid-autumn festival in Vietnam. This year...not so much. Wah.

Oh well, at least I can go to chinatown and nibble around the middle of some moon cakes.

Yeah, Google and cut and paste, actually.

Decidedly sub-optimal. :)

My parents have some (they gave me one the morning of Mid-Autumn Festival, which served as a reminder) but I realize this doesn't help you any.

However, they are also available from some bakeries in Boston Chinatown.
