I think I'm a pretty average driver, but I have driven a lot.

Come to LA. You'll be way above average here. (-:

They didn't seem that bad the last time I was out there.

It must not have been raining.

You're right. The roads were perfectly dry.

There's just too darn many of them, and from all over so you get an unpredictable mix.

I miss Boston drivers on a regular basis. At least you always know what to expect from them, and can retaliate in kind.

LA drivers are predictable. If you leave more than a carlength in front of you, someone will take the lane. If you brake suddenly, you will get rear-ended, especially if it is rainy or foggy. Everyone always signals, and they always mean it -- no trying to stop them. If you step into the street at an unsignalized crosswalk, traffic will stop.

Traffic isn't predictable in the way that DC traffic is, but the individual drivers sure are.

You really had me going there until you got to the bit where everyone always signals. Hee hee! That's a good one.

Are you still jet-setting? You owe me dinner. :)

As you can see from my schedule, I still am. :)

And now, it's for work.
