I found myself scraping ice-encrusted snow off my car just now. The landscape around me is a winter wonderland.

I thought that by coming to DC I might avoid this. And yet, my friends in Boston tell me there isn't a bit of the stuff on the ground back home.

The irony of this does not escape me.

Yes. But it's even sadder that I didn't notice until I saw your comment on LiveJournal about not realizing it was snowing until you saw it on LiveJournal. :-(

I'm on the ground floor! If I opened my windows, people would keep knocking on them because it's too cold for them to get their keys out of their pockets when they have mittens on!
