Just gave LS a lesson in driving a car with manual transmission. She remarked that my car was the easiest of all the cars she's ever learned on. Apparently my Corolla has a very forgiving clutch.

That, or she's a lot better at this than she thinks. Which is certainly possible.

I don't know who LS is, but I'd imagine that you're a really patient driving instructor - and as someone who had about 50 different instructors in about 50 different cars - the person giving the lesson matters a lot more than the car they teach you in.

Thanks for the compliment! Mostly, I just stayed out of the way after giving basic instructions on what to do. Then I let her try moving off from a dead stop a lot of times, first on a level surface, then on an uphill grade.

It was pretty easy.
