I'm told it depends on what server you're on, although I have no hard evidence, just hearsay.

My flist has been sprinkled with complaints like this, so I suspect it depends on which server your account is on.

LJ's been having some DDOS attacks lately. It's been gumming up their servers. That might be your problem.

I have a 4K post that I've been trying to send since Saturday evening, and it is DRIVING me up the WALL. Colleagues I had dinner with just now say it's becuase a 2K limit has been imposed on posts, in connection with the DDOS last Friday.

After that came up, said colleagues and I traded LJ names. It's good to find one's own kind (that being SCAdians and LJers) at a conference!
