Victoria and PJ introduced us to a new word. They said it was shouted at them as they were walking down Cedar Street today.
They don't know what it means either, but they thought they'd try it randomly in conversation until they found a place where it worked.
Arsemoo?
Edit:
cmeckhardt suggests I emphasize that it is pronounced "ar-se-moo", with three syllables. So, there you go.

Arsemoo?
Edit:

Date: 2007-09-07 05:52 am (UTC)I tried translating the word from other languages using BabelFish. It didn't come up with any meaningful results, although I got some ads about whether or not I wanted to order a Russian bride. Stupid Yahoo.com.
I then tried to figure out where the websites were from, and tried to find embedded English descriptions. I discovered a lot of references to the Balkans. Considering there are 22 million Romanians in the Balkans (the vast majority), I think the word might be in Romanian? Although I am open to other suggestions.
My guess:
Date: 2007-09-07 01:04 pm (UTC)Arse-Mush, ArseMoo, ArseMuck...
? :)
Re: My guess:
Date: 2007-09-07 05:50 pm (UTC)But perhaps they were sharing their delight at finding a single word that appeared on exactly one web page indexed by google. Until now! We've ruined everything! Alas.

Date: 2007-09-08 02:49 pm (UTC)They didn't have much in the way of detailed plans, which is really their way.

Date: 2007-09-08 05:06 am (UTC)So throughout my day today, I find myself suddenly saying or thinking "arsemoo!"
