It just occurred to me that not everybody has heard (or has a copy of) Flanders and Swann's "Slow Train." If you haven't, we should arrange for this to happen.

But I don't think the BTM train route has changed at all (I had to take it to go to Bath). :)

Except that Didcot station is now called Didcot Parkway, I think it's the same. It certainly was when I took the train from Paddington to Bath last.
