It just occurred to me.

I do a lot of my socializing over meals.

Well, that's out for a few days. :(

Edit: I guess this failed to occur to me because this is the first time I've had a tooth extracted living up here in the social whirl. All the previous ones were removed when I was down living a relatively quiet existence in Connecticut.

When I was in high school, my academic teammates and I were invited to visit a sponsor of the competition, the president of a local fast food chain. He rattled off statistics to us in his office, pictures were taken, and then we walked over to the flagship hamburger stand. My teammates were (translated into current speech) "ZOMG I CAN HAS WESTERN BACON CHEEZBURGER!!!". I had my jaw wired shut, and got two shakes for lunch. They had him sign the boxes their hamburgers came in; I had him sign a drink cup.
