I'd heard about the hundreds of thousands of travelers stranded in Guangzhou, but until now I hadn't actually seen any photos that showed what the conditions were like in Central China. (The coast has gotten mostly slushy glop, but the situation inland is what's stopped the trains and closed the airports.)

Until now.

Edit: According to the blog, that picture's from Wuhan, and that body of water is a lake.

um, i think someone's been re-using pictures -- a friend of mine had that image as a desktop image years ago. i think it's actually from an ice storm here on the east coast.
