I'd heard about the hundreds of thousands of travelers stranded in Guangzhou, but until now I hadn't actually seen any photos that showed what the conditions were like in Central China. (The coast has gotten mostly slushy glop, but the situation inland is what's stopped the trains and closed the airports.)

Until now.



That's some pretty serious ice storm action.

Edit: According to the blog, that picture's from Wuhan, and that body of water is a lake.

I'd never seen these pics before, no matter where they're from, and they sure make me feel better about winter in New England. ;)

I used to drive down the highway every day through an area that was decimated by the last huge ice storm we had in New England. Completely amazing what the forest looked like, even years later.
