I'm beginning to think that escaping from Long Island is one of those things my friends who live there have to do to keep their sanity. It's consistent enough that even I can sense a trend.

Eek! I'm sorry! Yes, I'm on Long Island - I've been there since last August. It's not a horrible place to be, but I'm increasingly grateful that my job is temporary, so I'll have the chance to go somewhere else next year!
