I'm curious, because I do it fairly often. It helps me a lot.

Date: 2008-06-20 07:59 pm (UTC)I figure it's just an extra way of routing information through your brain--pushing things through the speech centers, out the mouth and back in through the ears. It engages parts of the brain that wouldn't have been involved in straightforward internal cognition.
