I remember hearing recommendations about places to eat out in the Buffalo-Niagara Falls area before, but sadly I've forgotten where I wrote them down. If you could remind me, I would be very appreciative.

(I have lots of pointers to Toronto food, but more ideas there can't hurt. :) )

Thanks in advance!

Papaya Restaurant: http://www.papayarestaurant.biz/index1.html

And nearby, The Chocolate Bar: http://www.buffalochocolatebar.com/home.html

I enjoy the Chocolate Bar. Great Desserts!! In the bathrooms, they play "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory".

When we went to Niagara Falls we ate at the Barbecue place opposite the Marriott Falls View hotel. It was good BBQ, but I can't recall the name. And we also ate at the restaurant at the top of the Konica tower, it too was excellent, but requires a reservation.

If you pass through Cortland on the way to Buffalo and points north, a childhood friend of mine has a coffee business. Check it out and if the owners are there tell them I sent you. http://www.cnycoffee.com/ContactUs.html

In case it wasn't clear, the post about the coffee place in Cortland NY is from me. Guess I wasn't actually logged in. Here's the link again: http://www.cnycoffee.com/ContactUs.html

i wish i'd had some recommendations before we passed through the region last month. other than abbott's frozen custard at ontario beach park in rochester, i have nothing to suggest. (abbott's *rocks*, however, and if you go there then you should also definitely check out the carousel that is a short walk away -- one of the most gorgeous that i've ever seen!)

we did, however, stay at an utterly delightful B&B in bainbridge, NY, which is not far outside of (don't laugh...) binghamton.

Say, you know Abbott's opened in Needham, right?

934 Great Plain Ave
Needham, MA 02494
Call: 781-444-9908

I haven't been there but people tell me it's great. (I forget exactly which people or I'd give them credit here.)

(of course, i just went to call you to see if you wanted to go there with me, now, but then i realized you're almost certainly in western NY. bummer! maybe when you get back?)
