I'm a bit north of Houston, here in Bryan/College Station. TAMU is closed tomorrow, but I expect I will be working anyway. People are freaking out, motel rates have doubled and there's no bread left on the shelves at stores.

Personally, I think there won't be more than some rain and some wind. A few trees blown down and maybe some flooding in low spots. Nothing I'm really going to worry about.

Yeah, I have some friends who are actually in Houston. According to their blogs, they're hunkered down and ready.

But hey, best of luck to you too.

Thank you for your good thoughts. I'll give updates if I'm still online.

Thanks. We're expecting to be just fine here, but tomorrow could be a little wild.

It's interesting right now watching the TV coverage. Galveston is already flooding, for instance, and waves are crashing over the seawall onto Seawall Boulevard. Are other parts of the country getting this coverage?
