...was one of Jane Austen's notebooks. As a teenager she could put words together better than I ever will.

She did have a donkey cart or some such when she lived at Chawton Cottage -- they have it as part of the museum displays there. From her letters though it sounds as if she preferred walking. Loved your post! *hug*
