http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/files/elections/2008/general/by_state/statewide/CT.html?SITE=CTHARELN&SECTION=POLITICS has the results.

Question 1, on calling a constitutional convention to change the state constitution went down to defeat 59-41, and Question 2, on allowing 17 year olds to vote in primaries in years when they'll be 18 by the time the general election is held, passed 65-35.

One amusing thing was hearing a radio jock on WTIC 1080 Hartford mention on Election Day that you should vote yes on Question 1 if you want to allow crazy people to change the constitution. (It was widely seen as a way to reverse Connecticut's court decision allowing gay marriage.)

All in all, I'm pleased by both results.

I have to admit that I voted no to question 1 as much because I remember the hell that is voting in California, including the thick study book sent a week or so before the election with the scan tron 'crib' sheet so that it will take you less than three hours to vote once you get to the rickety little cardboard voting 'booth' as because I wanted to tell the anti-gay marriage folks to kiss off.

Since the big push for question 1 before the anti-gay marriage folks jumped on board was to add the ability for voters to toss up anything for a vote with enough signatures.
