Much as I hate to say it, falling gas prices aren't evidence of deflation. Rather, it's the global economy going into the shithole causing demand to fall off a cliff and a lot of speculators losing their shirts.

( I'm actually firmly in the deflationary camp, but I'm an Austrian Deflationista, not a Keynesian / plebian deflationist :-) )
