Pączki!

Big Y in Chicopee has pączki, since it's that time of year. They make them fresh every morning and sell out of flavors, so get there early. (Other places in Polish neighborhoods probably have them now too, although I haven't tried in Dorchester.)

In Krakow, "Every Day is Paczki Day".

I had one for breakfast. Well, half of two. Yum.

Yum! My godmother used to bring them from a bakery in NJ. Even better, though, is makowiec (poppy seed cake).

The Baltic Deli (http://www.yelp.com/biz/baltic-deli-and-cafe-boston) has both (and more) available. Perhaps not quite NY/NJ quality but pretty darn good.
