This can't really be a surprise to anyone.

I guess it's because being a hipster is a full-time job in itself, so how can they be expected to devote their full attention to any other job?

digitalemur has now been dissed by hipster waitstaff in two different countries. She is justifiably cranky about this. I have so far lucked out as I have only found them offhand and inattentive, while she has actually had difficulty being served.

At least the food was good after we finally got it.

While I did not like having difficulty getting served, I have really enjoyed cussing out said hipsters under my breath at great length. The first time would not have been so bad if I hadn't needed to do other things and hadn't had a cold bordering on a sinus infection at the time. The second was just ludicrous.

And my whole problem with Cafe Lift was that it was billed as a BREAKFAST place, but it didn't open until 9. Breakfast place for trustafarians I guess.
