From a research note by Michael Cembalest of J. P. Morgan, yesterday:
To examine the various factions, I consulted Peter Cembalest, who specializes in conceptualization of such phenomena. Peter (age 9) uses Lego Minifigures as a medium, and assisted me with the diorama on the next page. It identifies the 12 players in the EMU Debt Crisis most likely to affect policy from here; red lines indicate who each entity believes should be stuck with the cost.

I'm a little disappointed--all he's doing is using mass produced figures as symbolic icons with lines drawn between them. It would have been awesome if he'd conveyed the same information with a real Lego landscape, though I suppose that would have been harder to see on screen. Still, it's an awesome concept!

I'm with you. This is an awesome concept, but the actual implementation is confusing, not very helpful, and only uses the figs as icons.
