I really need to get out more often.

I was in something of a funk today until I got a call out of the blue from V and PJ, in from NZ. It was a great surprise and I'm hoping to get to see them again before they have to head back.

Later in the day there was the already planned get-together with JW from out of town. Four of us got together and hung out over dinner and drinks after the two hour walk JW and I took after his interview.

All in all I'm feeling very energized and on top of things after socializing. Which is good because Thursday to Sunday is pretty much packed solid with social engagements...

They live essentially on the other end of the North Island from you, and are in Antarctica for several months a year, so they can be somewhat hard to reach. But I will definitely mention.
