I'm sensing a pattern here.
Jun. 1st, 2014 08:33 amI seem to consistently underestimate how badly horked traffic can be in and around Boston, and it often screws up my plans. This is noteworthy because I generally give myself plenty of extra time to get where I need to be when I'm someplace else, even if it's as close by as NY or DC. Familiarity breeds contempt, I guess.
Yesterday was probably a special case though, because we were going to Norwood and the really bad accident was actually on I-95 south in Norwood. Even in Boston 27 mile tailbacks are not usual.
We ended up missing the actual ceremony and arriving at the reception in time for the post-ceremony hors d'oeuvres. And dinner and dancing, of course.
