(no subject)

I'm not sure what it says about me that some of the retailers I like most are places with four-letter names:

emoi
HEMA
IKEA
Muji

I'm fond of Aldi and Lidl, too, for that matter, but grocery chains seem to occupy a slightly different place in my mind. I like a lot of grocery chains, four letters or no. (To me, HEMA is a department store that also stocks some food, as opposed to a grocery or convenience store with other items, so I don't think of it as being in the same category as Aldi or Lidl.)

I'm sure it says something--these retailers are known for their clean, no-frills aesthetic--but I can't quite put my finger on what exactly it is.
