Huh! Is the Sphinx really that small or is it just perspective somehow? 'cause, yeah, one imagines it as Very Large Indeed...

I was surprised at how small it was compared to the pyramids. The scaffolding off to the right of the Sphinx near the back may help as a cue.

I did take some photos using perspectives that make the Sphinx look larger, but I thought this shot gave a more realistic idea of its size.

(The pyramids really are huge. The photo of two pyramids has tiny people standing between them. )

*goes to look at the larger versions to see all this clearly* :) Oh yeah, there's a dude to the left of the Sphinx too, for scale. Yes, smaller than I imagined, although not...*small*. The pyramids, however...Big. O.O
