If you say that you understand someone else's point of view, other people will assume that you agree with them.

Isn't it awesome? I use that to avoid conflict with my neighbor when she wants to share her views about the blacks and the gays and the Spanish.

What I meant was, if A says to B that he understand's B's point of view, then C will interpret that to mean that A agrees with B, and C will hate A for agreeing.
