I find that not posting something written in irritation tends to reduce the future level of annoyance in my life.

Even if it's less entertaining to the readers.

The number of comments I start and delete is larger than the number of entries I start and never post, but the quantity of both is significant. I sometimes ask myself "is this helping?" and when I can't say yes I delete it.

Yes! I learned that a while ago, when I read an old journal entry (written on paper) where I was annoyed at someone and the entry was full of unintentional vagueness, but darned if I couldn't remember what it was that ticked me off.
