Russia Wants Bulgarians to Stop Vandalizing Soviet Monuments

Figures of Soviet soldiers at the base of a Soviet Army monument were previously transformed into superheroes in Sofia, Bulgaria.

This is pretty inspired, actually. I'm sure there's a paper one could write about the reuse of Soviet iconography in protest movements.

Apparently this happened in 2011, and the monument has been repainted multiple times. This is my favorite, now that I've found the other instances.
