Items like this make me think gender egalitarianism has regressed since the 1970s.

It's really odd. Everybody expects Hillary to be the next president -- and nobody thinks that's radical. And that's a matter of real power. But the petty day-to-day gender differences seem to be coming back, or maybe they're not coming back so much as becoming considered much more normal. (I wonder if there are surveys regarding how people actually behave that would give solid data?)
