I prefer LiveJournal and Dreamwidth to Twitter and Facebook because I usually post thoughts that take more than a line or two to express.

This is not a self-referential post.

I was psyched about Dreamwidth as a possible alternative to LJ, but then I discovered that they only save and let you see two weeks worth of posts. If I haven't posted in two weeks and you look at my Dreamwidth account, you see nothing. So you can't archive, or go back and read old posts, or track anything over time, of catch up on a new person you just added, or anything like that.

It's like having your kid-sister come and rip the oldest pages out of your diary every day. :(
