Here's a partial screenshot of the odd ad I mentioned earlier. It's quite a departure from the usual assortment of consumer ads I see in my Facebook "Sponsored" feed.

Facebook is wrong a lot. But if Google starts feeding you those ads, it's time to search the less-used areas around your house for the reactor you obviously overlooked.
