I returned home to discover that the storm entirely passed us by! Nothing at all on the ground here in the Valley. But it was pretty nasty in other places, so good wishes are very much appreciated - we really dodged a bullet on this one.
Hope you're doing well! Can't wait to hear all about your travels when you return.
I'm doing fine. I'm a little amazed at the reaction of folks here in Burma to 75F weather: sweaters, jackets, and bundling up. I'm in short sleeves enjoying a break from the heat. It was 95F here two afternoons ago.
Thanks for the kind thought. The snow here in North Carolina was, as usual, much less dramatic than predicted. Rather than 8 to 12 inches (which really would have been bad) we got more like 3 or 4. It was in the low 40s today, so everything is melting. The major highways are clear and dry-but-salty now, and the local roads are slushy but passable, at least by day (they might re-freeze and become dangerous at night, but we're safely indoors).
